about FOUTCH fastpitch softball
Mission Statement: Our Board of Directors and coaches are committed to creating an environment of competitive softball in which young players can learn, grow and be challenged. Our teams will develop a winning attitude by being dedicated, focused, and always striving to do their personal best while continually displaying good sportsmanship and a positive attitude.
Philosophy: KrossFire Fastpitch seeks to instill in our teams the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and athleticism so they may grow to be happy, productive, and healthy adults. This objective will be reached by providing supervised competitive athletic games. We will focus on excelling at all aspects of the game while earning our victories with honor. KrossFire Fastpitch coaches, parents, and spectators will treat our opponents with respect and display good sportsmanship at all times.
About our organization: KrossFire Fastpitch, an NSA sanctioned team, is a nonprofit organization based out of Genesee County. Our coaching staff has experience coaching youth, middle school, and high school Varsity level, as well as playing college softball. Kearsley High School is our home field. We plan on playing in fall tournaments and holding weekly workouts and practices throughout the winter. We believe that repetition bares results and expect a high level of commitment from our players and their families.
Team bonding is essential for a successful, happy organization. Our Directors and Coaches will offer various opportunities during both the offseason and also during the season for the girls and their parents to spend time together and develop bonds. This unity will benefit the players, on and off the field and will also help to achieve team and organizational success.
Cost: Player fees will be established and communicated during try-out week. Team invitation after a successful tryout will require a $150 non-refundable commitment fee due at the initial organizational meeting (following tryouts), and will be credited to the full player commitment fee. If needed, a payment schedule can be provided, with full payment due by 1/31/2019, so tournaments can be secured. We will plan various fundraisers to help offset individual player costs and to help with organizational expenses. Participation in fundraising events is expected which will benefit your player as well as the organization.
2018 Fall Ball: We are anticipating to play in various fall ball games, scrimmages, as well as tournaments, in order gain the full early team growth opportunity. This will run nicely into the winter conditioning and ensuing summer tournament schedule.
2019 Summer tournaments: We plan to play in at least 6 summer tournaments, with a mixture of open and NSA sanctioned tournaments. Our goal is to gain experience and repetition through our league play, which will help out teams be competitive during tournament play.
